Friday morning
Oct. 16th, 2009 08:34 amStarting out the day with a bacon and goat-cheese omellette, washed down with a glass of iced tea, is a good way to start the day.
I was listening to The Diane Rehm show this week and there's was a guest author who wrote a book about the modern immigrant experience in America, and it sounded so interesting, I bought it. It's called, From Every End of This Earth by Steve Roberts. It's been a really cool read so far.
While driving home last night, I learned of this cool radio show called, RadioLab. It's a show where they investigate questions like, why do we blink? why we decided to make the choices we do? and more. Last night's show was about parasites and very, very interesting! Did you know people with hookworms don't have allergies? I didn't but that's one of interesting things I learned while listening.
Also, The Story last night was about a woman police officer who worked deep undercover in the Memphis TN Police Dept. I'm listening to it now, as it started just as I pulled into the drive last night, and it's very cool! I can't ever remember hearing about a female undercover officer, so hearing about it in her own words makes it even more awesome!
Happy Friday!
