I'm seriously loving Rift! The story lines, quests, mechanics, and graphics just RULE!!

Of the two factions, I'm definitely a Defiant. However, it's because I like the leveling area for Defiants better than I do the Guardians. Not because I think one faction is better than the other.

The fact neither side is the "good" or "bad" guy, imo, is so great! Each side has their strong points and their weak ones. The "grayness" of this game is great!

Another thing I love? I have yet to get an escort quest! OMG! I HATE those quests. So not having to do them rules!

It's also cool that I am a cleric but the options I can choose from means I can be so much more than a healer. My cleric, Jaarei is more like a true holy warrior! Freakin' awesome!
Lastly, I love the art and graphics in the game are just MAGNIFICENT! Here's a screencap of the Defiant city in Freemarch, Meridian, taken from afar (click image to see bigger graphic):
