fandomsecrets, I'll see secrets that are like, "They [male character x and male character y] said two words to each other and now everyone says they're in LURVE, secret because that's a stupid reason to ship someone." or "Why can't MC X and MC Y just be friends? Why do the crazy fangirls have to ship them?"
While I know some of them are done by trolls just to stir things up. Some aren't and then, I'll read the comments and can't help but wonder why whatever the hell I like to read be a bother to someone else?
So to all those that bitch about me and my slashy ways:
Don't like to have your flist/circle/etc be all about MC x and MC Y getting it on because you didn't see the sexual attraction between them? Don't read it, filter it, or delete your journal and get a new set of flisters that don't squee about what they love and will only squee about what you say they can so you'll be happy and I'll be safe from your craziness.
Don't like the idea that fangirl 1 wants to ship MC X with MC Z from a manga that MC X never was part of? STOP THINKING ABOUT IT! Seriously, find something that makes you happy and let FG1 have her fun! There's no law that says characters from different mediums can't be put in a fic together. Also, you need to get help if the thought of someone else finding happiness in this way upsets you...seriously, get the help now.
Unhappy that people watch things with slash-goggles on (and what the hell's wrong with that btw?)? GET OVER IT! I can watch something with pink, sparkly Unicorn shaped goggles [that image Female Character A and Female Character B getting it on too, btw] if I want and it's none of your damned business! So leave me and my slashy ways alone.
Upset that no one else squees about the pairing you like? Well, I am sorry to hear that but we all have pairings/fandoms we ship that don't have fandoms (or very small ones) and we all have to live with it. Deal with it and move on. Better yet, make your own squee. Make icons (seriously not hard to do), write post where you outline stories you'd like to read, or just find stuff that you like about it and share it with the world. You'll probably find out that there's someone else that likes them if you do.
